Denver Pet Photographer: 2 German Shepherds

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that I adore photographing dogs. I get more smooches on these photo shoots than any other!! :-) This client contacted me about having their two German Shepherds photographed as a surprise for her husband's birthday. She is having a collage of images framed for him. So nice, right!!

These dogs were just amazing and so well behaved to sit for me while I took their picture. I won't lie, though, I got some great snuggles and kisses from them and my girls were somewhat jealous when I got home with the scent of other dogs on me. :-)

Meet Shiloh (left) and Gunner (right)

This is Gunner, male and the eldest. He's the boss.

This is Shiloh, female and the younger sister. Check out the picture on the right...hilarious! Maybe not a mantle photo, but it sure does make me laugh. Anyone who thinks dogs don't have their own unique personalities is dead wrong....Shiloh would like you to rethink that opinion! :-)

Play time!

They were a little hot after playing, but I love this picture. Aren't those rocks in their yard great!!

Sally, thank you so much for contacting me!! I had such a great time meeting both you and the pups!!

The Best Neighbors Ever!

We seriously have the best neighbors ever. Not only are they just great people who are super fun to live next door to, they also love dogs and they love to hike. Sound like anyone else you know??? :-) TJ and Denise are definitely more skilled at the high elevation hiking than we are, but they are patient with us as we continue to adjust. We did a great hike with them last weekend and the scenery was just so beautiful that I thought I'd share a few pictures...

Left: The 3 dogs cooling themselves and getting a drink along the way.
Right: My cute hubby resting at the top before we head back down. Hahaha. I think he's taking the phrase "become one with nature" a little too far....you can hardly find him in the picture, he blends right in!

This is Blue...a gorgeous Golden Retriever. She LOVES the water and LOVES to swim!

The alpine lake at the top of our hike. 3 miles up with an elevation gain of 2,000 feet. Yep, the trip back down was significantly easier! ;-)

Montana: Part 3 (The Finale)

Will has told me many times about the wild flowers in Montana, but when I pictured them in my head, they were somewhat sparse and scattered around at random. Boy was I wrong. Never could I have imagined how many wild flowers there would be and how many gorgeous colors!! I took Katie and Molly out to do some Mama/Daughter photos. I don't know about you, but I love the girly-ness and innocence of these images. Molly couldn't be more adorable if she tried.

Katie, you are so beautiful....inside and out. I look at these pictures and I can't help but smile because the joy just radiates from you. Sean and Molly are two very lucky kids to have you as their Mama!! And I'm a lucky girl to have you as a sister!!! :-)

Denver Childrens Photographer: Twin Boys!

I have to take a quick break from my Montana trilogy to show you these ADORABLE twin boys that I photographed yesterday. Meet Colin and Danny.....two little guys who have personalities equally as cute as they are on the outside. A huge thank you to their Mama for letting me drag them through the wet grass, mud and the ooey gooeyness of the waterfall ;-).

Are you kidding me??? Could they be any cuter?? I just love this shot.

Hahaha. Boys are so funny...and then multiplied by 2....hilarious!

The one on the far right cracks me up. 6 year olds just chillin'. Tell me the ladies won't be lovin' these two in a few years!!! ;-)

Thanks boys!! You and your family can come back over and hang out at our house to wait out the rain again anytime! :-)

Montana: Part 2

Pictures from our time on the ranch...

Grandma leading Maria (the horse) and Sean out for a ride.

Kelsee and Bailey met horses for their very first time. HILARIOUS! In the beginning, they were intrigued and scared to death of the VERY BIG DOGS all at the same time. Throughout the week, they got much more accustomed to the huge creatures and then they just wanted to play with them! :-)

LEFT: How adorable is Sean on that horse? That saddle was Will and Ryan's when they were little fellas!
CENTER: Sean feeding the horse....and managing quite fine on his own.
RIGHT: Bailey says, "HEY BIG DOG.....you hurt that little boy and I'm not afraid to take you down!"

I love this picture. I find it hilarious that the two people who need help getting ready to ride are me and Sean!!! :-) Sean says to me, "Aunt Stacey, we are both riding horses!!!" I reply, "I know, Sean, how fun is that!!??" To which he replies, "RIDE 'EM COWBOY!!!!" HAHAHAHA. Man, I love that kid.

Katie and I showing the rest of the family how it's done. HAHAHA....YA RIGHT! Maybe, just maybe we've got a little left to learn before we could be trusted on our own. :-)

Rylan and Sean showing us how to bribe the horses into good behavior. ;-)

LEFT: Ryan and Katie's amazing and beautiful family.
CENTER: JoElla showing us how it is REALLY done.
RIGHT: Sean and his unbelievable cuteness.

Just in case you missed how truly amazing this family is, here is a close-up!!

Bailey and Kelsee learned how chase us on the 4-wheelers and the Kuboda. In case you can't tell, Kelsee pretty much loved it!

Sean won't let us call him any cute nicknames like Seaners or Seanerific. He explains quite adamantly that those are little boy names and then insists that we refer to him only as Sean "BIG BOY" Kyler. :-) Well, Sean "BIG BOY" Kyler, you have some pretty funny facial expressions...

Kelsee, Molly and Bailey wait to greet Will and I when we return from a 4-wheeler ride.

While we were there, we celebrated Molly's 1st birthday!! She is SUCH a sweet baby girl. I can't wait to watch her grow up and see that little personality develop.

LEFT: "Seriously, Grandma, you shouldn't have!!"
RIGHT: "But I suppose since you did, no harm in checking this weird stuff out."

LEFT: "Not really sure how you eat this stuff....guess I'll just shove it in!"
RIGHT: "WOW! What is this stuff? And why have I never had it before??"

LEFT: "I love you so much, Mom. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me this delicious stuff!"
RIGHT: "Seriously, it's delicious....here, try some!"

LEFT: "No, you don't want it? Okay by me....I'll just eat it all myself!"
RIGHT: "Don't judge me, Aunt Stacey, I know you want some of my cake!"

Oh, I have been so blessed with such a great family. Love you all!!!!

Montana: Part 1

After Yellowstone, we spent about a week in Montana with Will's family....always such a great time!! I will be posting pictures of the family (well, let's be honest, mostly pictures of Sean and Molly) and our ranch adventures in the next few days.

While we were there, we got to spend some great time with Will's Aunt Suzie, Bob, cousin JoElla and her daughter, Rylan. JoElla and Rylan asked me if I would take some pictures of them with their horses. This was a totally new adventure for me, but it was awesome and I had a blast. (Pretty sure I need my own horse now.) :-) Here are a few of my favorites...

This is Rylan and Tater. The center picture seriously cracks me up. Because of my angle, Tater's head looks huge.

JoElla and Carly. I love the connection between her and her horse!!

Then we did some supermodel shots of Rylan. Gorgeous, isn't she!!!

JoElla and Rylan, THANK YOU so much for letting me take these pictures. You are both so beautiful and I love spending time with you and getting to know you better!!

Yellowstone National Park

Dear Wyoming, I can't believe that I've never visited you before. You are GORGEOUS!!!

On our way to visit Will's family in Montana, he surprised me with a night in Cody, Wyoming and then we spent the whole next day touring Yellowstone National Park. It was amazing. I was in awe of it's beauty. Below are some pictures, but honestly, they just don't do it justice. Something you absolutely have to see in person to truly appreciate it's massive size and unbelievable beauty.

The girls got to join us on this adventure and they had such a good time. They were great travelers, but especially liked it when we found spots for them to get out and play.

My first moose sighting ever!! I was pretty excited....excited enough that Will had to call me back and remind me not to get too close because they are still wild animals and may decide to get angry with me. Oh ya....I forgot about that!! ;-)

Do you see the grizzly in the left picture?? AMAZING!!

Both of these are black bears. I kept asking the one on the right to show me his/her face, but no luck....way more into finding food than posing for me.

Another play time. They both get a kick out of the waves and like to chase them.

The left picture is behind the cabin that we stayed at in Cody, Wyoming. What a gorgeous location.

I love the picture on the right. A line of cars miles long and those baby buffalo just don't seem to care!! :-)

Hahaha. This picture pretty much summarizes the trip. If only I could have also captured Will driving.

Thanks, Yellowstone! We will definitely be back to see you!!
