Beach Photos!

I recently had two photo sessions at the beach (by the lake) near our house. I love the beach...just love it...even when it's not 95 degrees and I'm leisurely sunning myself!! :-)

This is the H family. (Photos from the other beach session will be added soon.) Adorable! There were so many cute images of the kids that I had a hard time picking out which ones to include here. If you can't tell from their faces, I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the beach as much as I do!!

Thank you, H family! I had a great time and I hope you love your images!

WELCOME!

Welcome to my newly designed blog!! I want to give a big shout out and "thank you" to Ms. Ellie at Rainy Day Templates who helped me with the design and taught me, "Ms. HTML Code Illiterate", how to put on all the finishing touches (which are still in progress)! She was fantastic to work with and was super fast....oh, to have the brains for stuff like this!! :-)

The greatest part about this new blog format is that I can show you much larger images. And, really, who doesn't want to see these faces as large as possible?? Hehehe. ;-)

I'll be back soon with new client photos! Until then, good night!

Is it fall yet??

We just can't tell.

Haha. :-) Oh, the joys of a home with a yard! If you look real close you can see Bailey at the front door and Kelsee in the first window to the left. They wanted to play in that big pile of leaves!

An Update on the Girls

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had such a wonderful time photographing a wedding in a beautiful area of Maryland yesterday. The drive from my house to the wedding was filled with rolling hills, beautiful homes and estates, vineyards, and the gorgeous fall colors. I will post pictures of the wedding in the next few days! In the meantime, here's an update on our girls.....

The girls are doing great and loving their new home (although they haven't loved the very rainy weather we had the last 4 days). You can actually see a rain drop on Kelsee's nose in the image above that hadn't dried when I took the photo.

If you have ever wondered why our girls are so spoiled, I would like to show you why....look at the puppy dog eyes on these girls! (These pictures were taken in my photography office that is still "in progress".)

Can you imagine what it would be like to lose your ability to express yourself to others? Dogs use their tails to express themselves. Bailey has the most adorable and quick-moving little stub. Kelsee, on the other hand, has this great long tail that is SOOO expressive. When she is happy, that tail is straight up and wagging back and forth. Well, this weekend, we were convinced Kelsee had lost her expresser. We thought she broke her tail. It just hung there, all crooked. No need to send us sympathy cards, however, because as of yesterday afternoon, her tail is coming back to life and she's able to raise it higher and higher as time passes. What happened? We have no idea. Here she is showing you where it hurts....

And lastly, just some sweet photos of sisterly love.

These are our cute cinnamon rolls. (Kelsee is the JUMBO size roll!!)

Children and Family Photographer, Northern Virginia

K is a very dear friend of mine. She and I worked together at the Pentagon for many years before I ventured off full-time into the photography world. I am beyond excited for K and her husband....they just had their first baby about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was so honored that she asked me to photograph their family and new baby boy!

Congratulations K and J!!! :-)
