Oh How I've Missed My Friend

It's not often that someone enters your life and becomes such a good friend that they surpass friend status and become a sister. It doesn't happen often and I'm glad, because then it wouldn't be nearly as special. Nora and I have been friends since late 1998 or early 1999 (can't remember) and I love her to pieces. She was living with me when she met Tim, I helped Tim pick out her engagement ring and I had the honor of standing with her on their wedding day. Yesterday, 6 months after the birth of their second baby, Tim surprised Nora with a weekend getaway to Colorado. How lucky for me!!!!!!!!! :-) We went out and took a few pictures this afternoon and here are a few of my favorites...

...and a couple of me and my girl cheesin' it up. Man, it's good to see my friend.

Never a Dull Moment with this Guy!

Our great friend made a quick trip out to visit us this past weekend. Those of you who know him :-) will understand when I say, it was an entertaining and funny weekend!

We visited the Coors brewing factory in Golden. It's a self-guided tour, so you can see the boys listening to the information as we walked through. Shocking, but I think we did more talking than listening.

The picture on the right is the bottling floor. Unfortunately, we went on Saturday, so nothing was in operation. Doesn't it look like Laverne and Shirley should be working down there!! Ha!

Outside the factory.

That night, we went to The Fort in Morrison, CO. I am such a lady....hot pink manicured nails and chowing on a buffalo rib. Ey ey ey. ;-)

Katie and Molly's Visit

As I mentioned on Friday, Katie and Molly visited us this weekend. It was so wonderful to see them and Molly is just adorable and kept us laughing with her funny faces and happy little personality. Here are some pictures of our cute niece :-) .........

On Sunday we went to Red Rocks Park. Amazing. Beautiful. Awe inspiring.

This is the amphitheater at Red Rocks. They hold concerts here and I can't wait to attend one -- I can only imagine what the acoustics are like in this venue. Apparently during the day, however, it is used by Coloradans as a location to work out. I was so inspired and can't wait until my body is adjusted enough to the altitude so that I can head there and embarrass myself. :-)

And a few random shots....cool silhouette of the elk from our deck.

When we woke up this morning, the clouds were completely covering the city. So beautiful.

Katie and Molly, THANK YOU so much for coming to visit. I love you dearly and can't wait until our next time together!!! (P.S. Katie, I'll email you all of these pics.)

Ahhhh!!! So Excited!

These two beautiful ladies are flying in this afternoon to spend the weekend with us and I can't wait!!! Katie is my amazing sister-in-law who I just love to pieces and I'm so excited to catch up with her and show her around Denver. Molly is now 9 months old, so I can't wait to see how much she's grown and watch her scoot around our house. I will be sure to get some pictures of our weekend adventures and post them early next week.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!! Enjoy!!

Will I Ever Take This For Granted??

From our deck yesterday I was so excited to see the elk milling around our neighborhood.

Then they moseyed onto the street below our house.

Although they kept a watch on the neighbor man, they didn't seem too phased by his presence.

Then they decided our yard looked like a good spot to munch on some grass.

Again, not phased too much by seeing me, they continued with their grazing.

Then they bored of our yard, so walked under our deck and up the hill next to the side of our house and into the mountain.

This morning we took the dogs out and walked right into the herd in our yard. The girls REALLY wanted to chase them and weren't too happy with us when we wouldn't let them. :-)

Will I ever take this for granted? I certainly hope not.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words...

I've been asked by numerous people if Bailey and Kelsee are enjoying their new home in Colorado. I figured I'd just let them show you what they think...

Yep, I'd say they're loving it!!! :-)

And then a first for me....elk! Growing up in Montana, Will has seen elk his whole life. I never have. I'm guessing after seeing them this morning just hangin' out alongside the road, this won't be my last time to see them!

We Made It!!

We made it and Will and I are now official Coloradans!! We are loving it out here and having a great time learning the area and getting our house all set up. I have to admit that I was really terrible at taking pictures on our journey to get out here. I did take a few, however, so here's a little photo essay of the past couple weeks.....

Our first stop was to visit my family in Illinois. Although it was a short visit, it was so wonderful to spend time with my parents and my Grandma.
Left: Me with my Grandma Green and my Dad
Right: Bailey LOVES my Dad and likes to follow him anywhere he goes. Not sure how she did it, but Bailey convinced my Mom to let her up on the couch to rest next to Grandpa. For any of you who know my Mom well, you understand how shocking this is!! :-)

While we were at my parent's house, my cousin Jen and her family stopped by to see us. Jen and I were like sisters growing up and I love her so much. Her daughters are absolutely ADORABLE and they definitely have their Mama's feisty personality!!

I love this picture of Zoey and Jen -- so cute how they are looking at each other exactly the same way. Like mother, like daughter!

Left: Jen's youngest daughter, Tessa. Holy cow, SOOOO sweet!!
Center: Chad, Tasha and Lola made the trip up here to visit us in Denver. Words cannot express how much I love this little girl. She is nothing short of precious.
Right: Lola. Those eyes....I just can't get enough.

Bailey is pretty sure that Lola is her bestest friend (next to Kelsee, of course)! She wanted to be right with Lola all the time. The left picture is so funny. I told Bailey to "Stay" -- she is such a good girl and she stayed like that for so long that her leg up in the air was shaking.

Will, Chad and Tasha working so hard on house renovations. Will and I were so blessed by all the work that Chad and Tasha helped us with. THANK YOU so much, Chad and Tasha!!!

Me? Well, someone had to accompany Lola during her naps!!!!

Left: Is there anything more precious than a sleeping baby? Nope, nothing!
Right: Is there anything cuter than a baby after a bath? Nope, nothing!

Be still my heart. Don't think those cheeks didn't get a TON of Aunt Stacey kisses!!

Hopefully I will be able to keep the blog updated now that we're getting settled. Happy Easter to you all!
