A Proud Navy Boy!

There are so many great things about my time working at the Pentagon. So many. But the greatest of all these things are the amazing friends that I met and continue to have. One of the very first people I met when I started working there was Heather. We probably never would have guessed at that point that just a few years later we would be working in the same office, crammed into one little corner together. We saw each other through a lot, work related and personal. We were both engaged at the same time, planning our weddings. Heather's husband, Jason, is in the Navy and they are now the proud parents of 5 week old Finn. I am so beyond excited for them and their new life as a family. Little Finn is just precious and I LOVED getting to meet him and spend time with my dear friend. Love you, Heather!!

Precious in Polka Dots

Little Ms. Ella is 6 months old so she visited me today in my studio for her photo session. She really turned on the charm and gave me such sweet expressions. I guess this is her third session with me, so she's an ol' pro! :-)

I really can't get enough of the sweetness just oozing out of her in these two. And those cheeks...I just want to smooch all over them!! :-)

How cute is this?? So happy!!

Happy 6 months, Ella!!! Please tell your Mom and Dad that it was great to see them today too!

A Good Laugh :-)

While I was in Dallas my Mom brought me a stack of pictures of myself as a child. I got quite the good giggle out of them (as did the rest of our family), so thought maybe they would be fun to share....it's okay to laugh too, I don't mind! :-)

It's no wonder Christmas is my favorite time of year, just look at this! It appears I was quite the domestic diva at this age with my grocery cart full of pretend food....hmm, I wonder at what age I lost that gifting???

Based on the picture on the far right, I just can't fathom why I didn't have modeling agencies knocking down our door! I mean, come on, who doesn't want a pre-teen model with big hair, even bigger glasses, a clear sense of fashion AND that has the ability to hold a fake flower next to a fake tree and make it look so natural????? I was robbed! ;-)

Too funny. Have a great weekend!!

The Miracle of Life

I have been down in Dallas, TX this past week with my brother, Chad and his beautiful wife, Tasha. I came down with the hopes that their first baby would enter this world with Auntie Stacey close by. She did come into this world, and although the story is long and not mine to tell, she finally arrived on January 4 as an unbelievably gorgeous, happy and healthy little 7 lb 14 oz blessing. Her mama is still recovering from some serious complications, but both Mom and baby Lola are home. Tasha proved that she has the inner strength, determination and faith in God that it will take to be the perfect Mama to Lola. Chad was a pillar of strength for his family and it made me such a proud big sister to see the way he handled the adversity and led his family with the most intense faith. Here are some pictures from their longer than expected stay in the hospital. We'll get crackin' on some formal photos now that they're all together at home!

Somebody REALLY likes Christmas!!

Little Cobb is 3 months old! One of the most special parts of my job is getting to watch these little ones grow up. I'm always so shocked by how fast the 3 months in between sessions goes as well as how much they have changed the next time I see them. Cobb is just precious and such a happy little boy. Knowing his parents, it's easy to see why he has such a fantastic personality.

This is one smart fella...he's already figured out how great Christmas is and he REALLY likes it!!

Thanks K and J! I hope you guys like your images! :-)
